Boston College Eagles 2022 Season
The Boston College Eagles are hoping to improve from their 6-6 record in 2021. In 2022, the season will begin in a rough manner and fans will v\be dismayed as they begin with Rutgers ( a winnable game). Then they travel to Virginia Tech and come home to face Maine. The Eagles hit the road to Florida State and then if week five they host Louisville and follow that up with a home contest with Clemson.
It is possible they could be winless at this point. I see two wins and a 2-4 record. The last half of the season, they have six more games with five winnable and a loss at Notre Dame for a finish of 7-5 overall record. If they can be 7-5, they will get a bowl game in the Sun Bowl.
Boston College Eagles- How Do They Get Here
Head coach Jeff Hafley will be counting on senior quarterback Phil Jurkovec to lead the way since Matt Ryan suffered a fracture of his throwing hand and will be out for mot, if not all of the season. Jurkovec played in the final four games of the 2021 season and led them to a bowl game.
Zac Fowers, the top receiver is back and could lead the ACC in several categories. Pat Garwo III returns as the primary ball handler and will get plenty of work in this offensive scheme. Garwo rushed for over 1000 yards last year.
Blocking will be a concern as four of the top five are gone.Senior Jaelen Gill and sophomore Jaden Williams will get the chance to protect the quarterback. The defense is being touted as a group not to be discounted.Josh Deberry leads that group and is on target for a nice draft day after the 2022 season. The top recruits coming in are labeled as four-star and they include safety Sione Hala from Bellflower, LA and wide receiver Joseph Griffin, Jr. out of Springfield, WA.
